Adrian Wallace's Funeral

It's not everyday that my ol' skool posse & myself go to a funeral in the Bedford area. Even though me and Adrian weren't close friends it was still a sad occasion. Okay I admit to shedding a few tears during the accapella of Amazing Grace (which was beautifully sung) during the church service.

Some might think it bad taste to take photo's at funerals but I guess it will be a good way to ensure that I don't forget this proud, colourfully dressed and always friendly person. We all miss you Adrian xxx

Ruben's birthday dinner

Went to Shanghai Blues for Ruben's birthday dinner. Practically all of us gave Ruben books as birthday pressies. The food was very appetising and served in relatively mouth watering small portions. Decor was dazzling minimalist dark and in a very opulent modern style. I think my mum said they spent £1.5 million to achieve this classy look. Toilets were too dark for my liking and reminded me of walking into a badly lit dungeon. The exotic fruit served at dessert gave us a little giggle.

Don't know how we managed it but we spent around three hours talking and laughing about sex, drugs & cock'n'hole. At the end of dinner Nigel&Brad gave us a tip for the Mercury Music Prize.

Got a bit flustered when I bumped into Kent (dishy Chinese guy who I met at Fiction ages ago) and his white boyfriend (can't remember his name even though I've been introduced a few times) outside Shepherds Bush tube station on the way home.
