London Pride 2007

Juicelog Sat 300607: One of the wettest London Gay Prides I have ever attended. There was so much constant downpour that not even one single bible basher appeared at the event. The Pride Parade was worth the wait.

Soho Square with the Fire stage managed to hold people’s musical focus for the remainder of the day. After wearing myself down I achingly went home earlier than planned missing out on Dan, Paul and David’s salad and pudding competition.

Hot Tub 2007

Juicelog Sat 230607: There was steam in the hot tub. There was ice in the bath tub. I think this is what caused hefty amounts of water to intermittently pour from the skies above. With our spirits dampened we (Barry K and Cynthia) still managed to wimbledon on down south to sip Pimms with the Big Britain lot. Indoor activity resulted in running up and downstairs experimenting with a variety of make-up bags.

Carnival de Cuba

Juicelog Sun 170607: Paolo B, Bent Dick and myself donated part of our afternoon to Carnival de Cuba at Southpark this afternoon for some hip action with the London latino community.

Queues for food and drink were annoyingly stretched and with only two stages providing the music, there were considerably a lot less live acts and sound systems than the previous Latin Festival I had attended. Lacking in that community picnic atmosphere, I think most people seemed to be enjoying themselves even though didn’t appear to be that much dancing taking place.

Kazbar Street Party / Offical Get Together

Juicelog Sat 160607: The herky-jerky rain ruined my afternoon Cuban plans. Our good deed for the day was to chase away the early evening grey clouds from the SW4 area with some traditional street dancing. Scraping in for the final thirty minutes, we then found ourselves having to dodge the pouring barley clouds which showering us with Tiger beer. After getting slightly drenched we breezily went back to Daddy Dick’s house for the Official Get Together.

James I’s 30th

Juicelog Sun 030607: As I was due for my annual physical I went along to James bidet lunch this afternoon at William IV pub in Old Street. During our drinking session I got a fairly thorough health check by his cousin (Billy the doc). As I’m not acquainted with unfamiliar men touching my body I had to momentarily freeze my body to get through the procedure.

James is one of the first Big Britain lot to turn 30. His move into a new age bracket left me feeling I was pushing on a bit. Within a few more years I won’t have many nubile tweenies left who I can depend on to bend down to shoe horn my disco mules on for me or to give them a good solid burnishing during my grimy moments.

Juicelog Sat 020607: With the blazing sunshine today we were slightly surprised with the low turnout of speedos on Hampstead Heath this afternoon. After a while we merged with another Benetton posse to form a massive picnic collective. The overgrown grass could have done with a short back and sides.
